5th March | starting at 8:30am
Wednesday morning, March 5, at 8:30am, on the RACA Rooftop
What do elms, daffodils, catmint, and rosemary have in common? They’re all considered ‘invasive alien species’. But is a weed always a bad thing? What about dandelions, sorrel or blackberries?
Join us for a fascinating event where we explore the history and culture of these often-misunderstood plants. Enjoy a specially curated breakfast and beverage while Francesca Beddie, editor of Weeding Between the Lines by John Dwyer, KC, PhD, shares insights on how weeds reveal the complex relationship we humans have with nature.
The book, published by the Australian Garden History Society, will be on sale for the special RACA attendee price of $40.00, with cash preferred.
There’ll be other prizes and surprises on the day!
Hosted by the Gym & Wellness and Ladies Committee—don’t miss out!
