Guest Speaker: Rae McLintock OAM - The Consorts of the Governors of NSW 1788-1847

As a former teacher, Rae McLintock has a great ability to inspire enthusiasm in our history. A volunteer guide at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum in 1993 and from 1996 joined the volunteer guiding team at Government House. After preparing a manual about the Governor's of NSW honours, orders and decorations seen in their portraits, Mrs Linda Hurley asked him about the availability of material relating to their wives. The result - Rae wrote another manual and will share the stories of the earliest consorts. Join us at the Statue of Governor Phillip in the Royal Botanic Gardens (Macquarie St entrance) for a short ceremony at 11:30am before returning to the RACA for lunch.
