Corks 'n' Forks February

Dear Members,

We have a varied and most interesting line up of food and wine events scheduled for 2017, the first of which is our ‘Various Pinots from Various Places’ tasting/tour, to be held on Thursday 16 February at 6pm in the Vintage Room.

There’ll be 12 pinots for tasting, which will include a pinot noir base Champagne; an Italian rosato style Pinot Grigio; a selection of French and Italian Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Grigio; a selection of Australian, French, (and possibly German) Pinot Noir; with an Australian Pinot Meuniere to finish. The wines will be accompanied by a number of small matching food servings specially chosen and prepared by the Club’s Executive Chef Rebecca Kaye and her team.

Our tasting ‘tours’ are relaxed, informal and educative evenings designed to appeal to those members and their guests seeking an introduction to the wonderful world of wine or to expand their existing knowledge. They’re held in the seated comfort of the Vintage Room and only 16 places are available, so if you’re interested in attending our ‘Various Pinots from Various Places’ tasting/tour I suggest you book early.

The price per head is $85; which includes all wines, food, tasting notes, and great company. Bookings can be made by contacting the Club’s Events Team on 8273 2320, or sending an email to events@raca.com.au.

While you’re at it, you may also wish to make an advance booking for our ‘Festa Italiana’ Dinner scheduled for Thursday 23 March. We’re presently finalising the menu and matching Italian wines, details of which will be published in the Club’s March newsletter and available on the website.
